Our 2023 summer season starts June 5, and we are in need of volunteers for horse leaders, sidewalkers and horse care. Whether you are a returning volunteer or coming out for the first time, we need you to fill out an application and attend an orientation/training session. You can find an application here or fill one out at the orientation on June 3 (10 am or 2 pm). Come meet our Program Director, Janie Call, Executive Director, Doug Stewart, and some of the nicest horses in Anchorage!
Orientation: Volunteers will work with horses and experienced volunteers to learn/review horse handling and safety, grooming, haltering, sidewalking, and working with therapists and clients. You MUST wear closed toe shoes in order to be around our horses, so please dress appropriately.
