Color the Horses of EATA

Artist and EATA volunteer Christian Jeter has created a coloring book of EATA’s horses. Her original drawings are based on photos of EATA horses, past and present.

The Horses of EATA coloring book is for sale for $20 from the Jeter family, who are sharing the profits with EATA. Contact them at jeters.alaska@gmail.com or text Rebecca Jeter at (907) 830-0700.

Buy your Cowboy Carnival Tix Here!

Coming August 7 to the WCCEC – EATA’s first ever Cowboy Carnival! Noon to 4:00 pm, 3900 Abbott Road, Anchorage

We are excited to invite you all to our Cowboy Carnival fundraiser! Come for an afternoon of family-friendly fun and games! All proceeds go to supporting our amazing therapy program.

Here’s what your ticket buys:

Horse ride in the Equidome (1)
Face Painting
Craft project
Unlimited games: bouncy castle, inflatable obstacle course, sumo wrestling, bumper balls, cornhole, stick pony races and more! Play as often as you like!

Photo booth: take your picture with one of our beautiful horses

Free admission (no activities) for adults supervising minor children. Purchase of ticket required only for those participating in activities.

Bring Back the Horses Fundraiser

Summer is coming and our equestrians are eager to mount up. With the horses needing winter pasture in Oregon, EATA has a major expense every year trailering them up and down the AlCan. It’s a necessary expense since there is no equine assisted therapy without our favorite equines!

Fundraiser Goal = $4500

EATA runs on a tight budget and depends on donors like you to keep us in business. Although we apply for and sometimes receive small grants, we depend on fundraisers to meet expenses. It costs $800/horse for the six EATA horses to be transported and fed, so our fundraiser goal is $4500. (Program Director Janie Call absorbs the cost for her two horses Casper and Seven, although they are ridden every day in the program.)

We have set up a fundraiser through Facebook, which does not charge a fee for nonprofits. Although that is our preferred donation site, you can, of course, donate through this website using Pay Pal, which charges a 2,2% + $.30 processing fee.

Either way, we hope you will be able to help us toward our $4500 Goal. All donations are appreciated, whether $5 or $500.
